Creative Direction
I was challenged to create an original brand from two words I pulled from a hat: children 8-12 and sculpture. I developed Spark Studio to make hands-on crafts more accessible, inspiring kids to build creativity and confidence away from screens through fun, self-guided projects.
Moodboard
While sourcing inspiration, I looked for brands with bright colors, crafty vibes, and kid-friendly mascots.
Logo Sketches
I created playful, trustworthy logotype sketches to align with Spark Studio's target customers: parents looking for fun, eco-friendly ways to spark creativity at home.

Brand Guidelines
Spark Studio’s logo features custom letterforms that resemble upward leaves and craft paper patterns to evoke the spirit of creative exploration.
Sparky + Friends
Sparky targets ages 10–12 and promotes independent learning through creativity. Sprout focuses on STEM, while Nimbus offers empowering, self-paced projects for ages 8–9.
Packaging Design
One of my favorite features is the mailer box packaging design, which includes instructions on recycling the box into a personalized art supply organizer!
Social Media
Spark Studio’s Instagram showcases awesome projects made by Spark kids, paired with bold, vibrant visuals that highlight the brand’s playful, creative vibe.
Looking back…
This project challenged me to design with both kids and parents in mind to keep things playful, but clear. In the future, I plan to animate Sparky and bring even more personality to the character.
